About
Bo is an educator, dancer and choreographer. She is currently on the dance faculty at Palo Alto College in San Antonio, Texas, and also teaches at the School of Ballet San Antonio. Previously, Bo danced professionally with the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company based in New York City, touring nationally and internationally.
She has performed at prestigious venues and events, including the Martha Graham Theater, Baryshnikov Arts Center, Lincoln Center, New York Philharmonic, New York City Center, Battery Park Dance Festival, and the American Museum of Natural History, New York Fashion Week, Flushing Town Hall, Ellis Island, Queens College, Brooklyn College, Rutgers University, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, as well as in Cincinnati, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, and the British Virgin Islands.
In addition to her performing career, Bo has taught ballet and modern dance at New Jersey City University, including classes for the students with disabilities at the affiliated A. Harry Moore School. She also founded the ballet program at the AA Plus Youth Activity Center in Manhattan, NYC, where she developed a curriculum for over 60 students, ranging form age 3 to 15, across three levels.
Bo holds an MFA in Dance from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a BA in Ballet from the Beijing Dance Academy. She believes that her combined teaching and performance experience enables her to help students build a solid foundation, allowing them to express themselves to their fullest through dance.
